Home Training Plans

Our home training plans focus heavily on the main components of fitness. In gymnastics, such principles include strength, power, flexibility and balance. Enhancing these qualities will allow a gymnast to execute more basic skills to a higher level of perfection and allow gymnasts to safely attempt more complex skills. We are extremely proud to extend our coaching expertise to you outside of your child’s regular gymnastics hours, as there are very few clubs that offer this degree of customer service and ongoing gymnastics knowledge.

 

To minimise risk of injury, all training plans are to be performed under strict supervision. Due to the high risk of injury involved within gymnastics, our home training plans do not focus on the acrobatic side of the sport. Performing acrobatics outside of the gym is highly unadvised and is done so at the risk of the gymnast. Performing acrobatics at home is also ill advised, as children can pick up incorrect techniques and bad habits, which can actually jeopardise and hinder their progress. Parents/ guardians… why not get involved and practise your gymnastics skills with your child at home?

 

Home training plans will be delivered in multiple forms. Having our programmes written with diagrams and being accompanied by video help allows for multiple ways of understanding any given plan. Home training plans will also include a guide of how many days per week to perform the plan, as this will allow for adequate rest whilst avoiding fatigue and tedium.

 

2PRU Gymnastics Club is not responsible for any injury a child receives outside of the gym. All exercises provided on the home training plans are safe for all the children to perform whilst under strict supervision. It is both the gymnast’s and the parent’s/ guardian’s responsibility to speak to the club before purchasing a home training programme. It is also the gymnast’s and the parent’s/ guardian’s responsibility to ensure an exercise is fully understood before it is attempted.
