2PRU GYMNASTICS CLUB

If you are 16+ years old you are eligible for our adult class. You can be a current gymnast, an ex retired semi professional or a complete beginner who has never tried the sport. Furthermore, you do not need a membership at the club to come along.

The structured component of this class will consist of a warm up, a stretch, a group activity and two stations that work on skill progression. The structured component will be divided up into two non coach led intervals which allows each participant to have a “free gym”. This is allocated time for you to have a go on all the equipment or continue to work on a station that has been provided. Also, if you want to set up your own station then feel free to speak to a coach. The coach led stations are not compulsory, however this is where the coaches time is designated and assistance elsewhere in the gym will be minimal during this time. It is advised that you participate in each station as this will allow you to actively take part during the free gym and safely perform a given skill with the correct techniques.

As with all our recreational classes, we expect maturity and respect towards fellow participants and the coaches leading the session. Finally, we can orient our plans better for this class if we know the skills you would like to learn. Therefore, we can not stress the importance of interacting with fellow peers in the class and voicing these to the coaches. This class is specifically designed for you so take advantage of being able to improve the coach led aspects and have fun when practising your chosen skills in your free gym!
